  • We have practice everyday and it will begin at 2:45 and will end between 5:15.
  • Expect to have Saturday Practices when we do not have a meet
  • Expect to have Practices on non-school Holidays
  • Expect to practice both inside and outside
Equipment
  • Running Shoes – This is a must to begin the season. The coaching staff recommends that each student/athlete have a new pair of running shoes before the season begins. We recommend going to a running specialty store such as Naperville Running Company.
  • Lock/Locker – You will need a lock for the locker room. Physical Education locks are not to be used for athletics. Each team member is provided with an athletic locker to use for the season.
  • Spikes – You are required to have spikes if your event requires them.
  • Warm Clothes – For Outside practice
  • Hat/Gloves/Headband – For outside practice
  • Water Bottle – Your own…we do not share!
Other Items
  • Spring Break – We have the Moline Invitational over this year’s spring break. If you are an invitational-level athlete (Varsity or Junior Varsity), you are expected to make yourself available for this meet. Missing this meet will hurt the team’s development. If you are not available, your participation in future meets/invitationals could be jeopardized. More information will be available before Spring Break. If you have any questions, please ask Mr. Harvey.
  • Trying out for other spring sports – You may still come out for track & field until the spring sport has its tryout. If you make the other spring team, you can choose to stay with track & field or go to the other sport. Talk to Mr. Harvey if you require any additional clarification. It is important to note that track & field does not separate the indoor and outdoor season. For purposes of athletic registration, team awards, and overall team/coaching philosophy, track & field is one season.
