Kurt Kaull is a 1979 graduate of Wheaton-Warrenville High School. He is perhaps the greatest three-sport athletes to play for the Wolverines. As a senior football player, he was awarded the Red Grange Award while playing two ways as a quarterback and free safety. He earned All-Conference and Honorable Mention All-State awards for football and was offered scholarships to play at Iowa State and Princeton. Kurt was a three-year letter winner, two-time All-Conference, and 3rd team All-State basketball player. He helped lead the Wolverines to a Conference Championship. As a baseball player, Kurt was a three-year letter winner, two-time All Conference, and 1st team All-State shortstop. He helped lead the Wolverines to a Conference Championship and back to back Regional Championships.

Collegiately, Kurt played basketball and baseball for four years at Georgetown University. As a point guard, he played for the legendary coach, John Thompson, and alongside Patrick Ewing. He was on the 1982 Hoyas team that played for the National Championship. As a baseball player, he hit over .400 during his freshman year and as a senior he finished 2nd in the country in batting average, while helping lead the Hoyas to their first ever postseason playoff bid.

He holds Georgetown’s record for most base hits and total bases in a season. He played two summers in the Cape Cod Summer Baseball League and led one season in RBI’s and was a two-time all-star third baseman. After Kurt’s senior year, he was drafted in the 8th round by the St. Louis Cardinals and played for three years advancing to the Triple AAA level. He served as an assistant baseball coach at Georgetown following his time playing professionally. Kurt was a 2000 inductee into the Georgetown Athletic Hall of Fame.

Kurt earned his J.D./M.B.A. from Georgetown University. For the past two decades, he has been successful in the private equity industry and most recently, as a senior partner for a firm in San Francisco. Kurt is the son of Jack and Mary Ellen Kaull, and is married to Pam Hamamoto and has two children, Justin (13) and Jessica (10).
